Snow

Then yesterday, something changed. As we drove home from work, it started to snow. I'd always thought snow was just frozen rain, but it has a sort of buoyancy that's hard to describe. Instead of falling in straight lines from sky to earth, snowflakes whizzed around us, zigzagging erratically, like Brown's pollen grains or Pullman's dust. The effect was exhilarating, psychedelic almost. And inexplicably my mood lifted.
